Concrete Release Agents
Huron Technologies' off the shelf and custom formulated concrete form release agents are used in a variety of concrete applications including pipes, stamped concrete, artificial stone, architectural decorative components and walls. Consider these factors when selecting a form release agent:
  • Form materials including polyurethane, steel, latex, vinyl & rubber or wood. Foam polystyrene, aluminum, melamine and fiberglass can also be used for concrete molding forms.
  • Surface finish--goals may be minimizing bugholes for a smooth class A surface or permitting effective dispersion of color pigments within the concrete
  • Mold or form swelling must be minimized because swelling means distortion in concrete part sizes and more production time
  • Environmental concerns like meeting VOC regulations or biodegradability standards
